Pedaling for a Purpose: Westcors Support for One Aim at the Ride to Conquer Cancer

On June 1st, Westcor Construction was thrilled to be part of the Ride to Conquer Cancer event, where we donated 10 cases of water and team signage for the One Aim Conquer Cancer cycling club.

One Aim Conquer Cancer is not just a cycling club; it’s a community dedicated to making a difference. Comprising passionate riders, this club pedals with a purpose – to support the remarkable work of The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is located in Toronto and is one of the world’s top cancer research, treatment, and care centers. They’re at the forefront of cancer research, and their commitment to conquering cancer is unwavering.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer event is an annual cycling journey that brings together people from all walks of life who share a common goal: conquering cancer. In this year’s event, an impressive 1,200 riders joined forces to tackle the challenging route, pushing their limits to raise funds and awareness for cancer research and treatment.

The dedication and enthusiasm of these riders were truly inspiring. As they pedaled their way through the event, they demonstrated a remarkable commitment to a world without cancer.

The result? A staggering $5,560,000 was raised at this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer event, a testament to the power of collective action and shared purpose. These funds will go directly to support The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s groundbreaking work, pushing the boundaries of cancer research and treatment.

We were honored to be a part of this impactful event by contributing 10 cases of water and team signage to the One Aim Conquer Cancer cycling club. These might seem like small gestures in the grand scheme of things, but every drop in the ocean of giving makes a difference.

At Westcor, we believe that every little bit counts. The Ride to Conquer Cancer event exemplifies how a community can unite, no matter how large or small, to make a significant impact. We’re grateful to have been able to play a part in this incredible journey towards a cancer-free world.

Thank you to all the riders, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a success. Together, we’re one step closer to conquering cancer, one pedal at a time.
