Celebrating Two Decades of Excellence: Westcor Achieves Gold Seal Certification
Living our Purpose and Values
For over twenty years, Westcor has been driven by a People-First philosophy, a commitment to collaboration, and an unrelenting focus on Building a Better World—not just through the structures we create, but through the relationships we foster.
From the very beginning, we understood that success in construction is about more than just completing projects. It’s about the people behind the work, the communities impacted, and the values that shape every decision. This belief has guided our approach, defining our reputation for personalized service, reliability, and mutual accountability.
We are thrilled to announce that Westcor has been awarded the 2024 Gold Seal Award by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA). This award aligns seamlessly with our dedication to excellence, holding ourselves to the highest standards, and continuously improving to serve our clients and communities better.

Reflecting on Our Journey
Our journey began two decades ago with a vision to redefine the construction industry in Alberta. Marked by a steadfast commitment to Lean construction, collaborative delivery models, and mutual success built on trusted relationships, challenging the industry to evolve and ensuring that each project is not just a building, but an investment in our community.
Through our Client Experience Framework, we have established a model that prioritizes proactive communication, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to doing things right the first time, resulting in a seamless project turnover and exceptional client satisfaction.
This approach has not only streamlined our processes but also fostered a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
By embedding continuous learning into our Core Competencies Framework, we empower our people to reach their full potential, knowing that when we invest in our employees, we invest in the future of our industry.
From landmark Gold Seal projects like the Ronald McDonald Calgary House Expansion and the Foothills Country Hospice Society Expansion to embedding a people-first philosophy in everything we do, Westcor remains committed to raising the bar for excellence, fostering innovation, and strengthening the communities we serve.
As we reflect on this milestone, we look ahead with the same passion and purpose that has defined us from the beginning—continuing to Build a Better World the Westcor Way.
The Significance of Gold Seal Certification
One of the ways we have demonstrated this commitment is through our long-standing support of the Gold Seal Certification program. Since our inception in 2003, we have championed professional development, making it a priority for all employees in Project Management, Estimation, Safety, and Superintendent roles to pursue Gold Seal Certification.
This dedication stems from our belief that when we invest in our people, we invest in the future of our industry.
Our President & CEO, Bob Robinson, was among the first Gold Seal Certified Project Managers in Canada, setting the tone for a culture that prioritizes continuous learning and sustainable growth. Today, over 53% of our eligible employees are either fully Gold Seal Certified or actively pursuing certification.
The Gold Seal Certification is more than just a title; it’s a testament to our team’s expertise, professionalism, and commitment to quality. It signifies that our projects meet the rigorous standards set by the CCA, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service and results.
This achievement is not solely ours; it’s a shared success with our clients, partners, and the communities we serve. Together, we’ve built structures that stand as symbols of trust, reliability, and excellence.
These values are the foundation of our success and guide us in every project we undertake.

This milestone is more than an achievement—it’s a testament to the passion, dedication, and innovation of our incredible team.

We extend our gratitude to the Canadian Construction Association for this recognition and to our incredible team for making this possible. Here’s to raising the bar and continuing to build with integrity, passion, and excellence!
