Westcor honoured with national Community Leader award from the CCA

It is our distinct pleasure to share that Westcor has been honoured by the Canadian Construction Association with the coveted Community Leader Award of Excellence. Our team is beyond thrilled to be recognized with this national award highlighting 18 years of being of service to our community and our Building a Better Community, a Westcor People-First initiative.

To all our partners in the industry that supported and engaged with our initiatives, all of our partners in the community who volunteered their time and energy to be of service to those in need, and to all those who have continued to extend their hands with offerings of service to our community – thank you.

Thank you for your commitment, your time, your effort, your passion, your patience, your resilience, and your willingness to give. We truly are one team, stronger together, and the work that we do is amazing.

When we take care of each other, a foundation is built that allows us, as a team, to take care of our community. This is what Building a Better Community is all about.

When we named the initiative, we were intentional with the words “A People-First Initiative” because we knew that this initiative would be significant to the recipients as well as to the people who serve. So, the important aspect of our submission is People. This initiative started with the idea of doing 15 acts of kindness over 12 months and we knew in our hearts that this was an ambitious goal but we understood that there was a need so we trusted that it would work out, and it sure did. We have amazing employees who are dedicated to helping the community. We have an incredible community that stepped up whenever we asked for help – we had our business and community partners asking us in advance for details of the next act of kindness so they could line up their support.

We are deeply humbled that we are being recognized as a Community Leader especially considering that there is so much incredible community work being done by our industry throughout Canada. Thank you to everyone in our industry for your incredible contributions to community work – these contributions are more important than ever as we navigate through these unprecedented times together. We truly are stronger together.
