Our 15th anniversary year has been inspiring and fulfilling.
To celebrate our milestone, we committed to be part of 15 service initiatives to build a better community and challenge our industry partners to do the same. Since September 2018 we have completed 11 acts of community kindness and look forward to 4 more to round out our anniversary year.
Our most recent initiative in May was participating in the Scotiabank Marathon Charity Challenge supporting the Calgary Society for Persons with Disabilities. In the first 6 months of our community involvement we worked with Dare to Care to prevent cyberbullying and bullying in schools; the Mustard Seed and the Drop-In Centre to fight homelessness and hunger; Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child; the Calgary Women’s Shelter and the Brenda Strafford Foundation supporting seniors in long-term and assisted care facilities.
It has been gratifying to see our employees, our industry partners and volunteers join together to serve the community and, our challenge to Build a Better Community continues. We have acts of kindness planned for July, August and September and we want you to join us in making a difference.
