Construction of a new addition to Horizon House’s existing Glamorgan property. Consisting of a 4-story wood structure on SOG with prefabricated floors and wall systems which allowed the entire structure to be erected in under 5 weeks. This 42-unit affordable housing complex also integrates a Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) medical unit to support clients with developmental disabilities.

The improvements on the schedule was largely due to the prefabrication of the wall and floor assemblies combined with the collaborative approach to the project which included the utilization of aspects of The Last Planner System including milestone planning and 6-week lookahead scheduling. Long lead-time items were addressed early and value engineering / target value design principles were used to reduce costs of construction.
